Denise Carter MSc FCLIP

Denise is an experienced and creative information professional. She is passionate about the power good information management has to transform organisations. She holds a Masters degree in Information Management, she is a certified Competitive Intelligence Professional (CIP-1), and a Chartered Fellow of CILIP: The UK Information Professionals Association (FCLIP).

Denise is currently Managing Director and Principal Consultant for DCision Consult, which provides research and analysis support for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Denise started the company in 2013 after leaving a multi-national pharmaceutical company where she had worked as an information manager for 17 years.

Denise has published articles on multiple information topics, such as adding value to secondary resources, customer service, artificial intelligence. She is a speaker at international conferences, and delivers webinars on information-related topics.

Denise is currently President-Elect of the Association for Independent Information Professionals (AIIP). She is a former Chair of CILIP's Knowledge & Information Management Special Interest Group. Denise is also a member of the Editorial Board for the Sage journal Business Information Review (BIR).
